Biography:

Anna, a Connecticut native, is a magna cum laude graduate of Middlebury College, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in comparative literature and music. While at Middlebury, Anna worked as a research assistant for the religious ethics and ethnomusicology departments, and she was the music director of the Paradiddles, the all-female a cappella group. She was also a section leader of the Middlebury College Choir, a member of the “Feminist Action at Middlebury” organization, and a member of the ultimate frisbee team. At Middlebury, Anna received the Barbara J. Buchanan ’62 Memorial Prize, which is awarded to a senior woman for academic excellence and community service. Immediately following her undergraduate work, Anna followed her passion for academia and enrolled at Dartmouth College to pursue a one-year master’s degree in comparative literature, which she recently completed. At Dartmouth, Anna was a graduate teaching assistant and a graduate student council representative. At Taft, Anna is the Maillard Fellow and the Penn Teaching Fellow in French. Outside of the classroom, Anna coaches thirds volleyball and ultimate frisbee. She resides in Congdon House.
