International Students FAQ

Is the TOEFL exam required?
If your first language is not English, we strongly encourage you to take the TOEFL (Test Of English as a Foreign Language). Please request that your TOEFL test results be sent to Taft. Taft’s TOEFL code is 3834

What about other tests?
You should plan on taking the SSAT in October, November, December or January. Our SSAT code is 7600.

If you’re applying as a Post Graduate candidate, you must take the PSAT or SAT. Please click here for links to these sites.

Does Taft offer ESL courses?
We do not offer any ESL courses, so a high degree of English proficiency is required to attend our school.

Can I arrange for an admissions interview in my city?
We will do our best to arrange off-campus interviews, but cannot always guarantee that every applicant will be interviewed. We do not arrange an off-campus interview until the application, recommendations, required testing, and fee have been received.

When is my application due?
Applications need to be complete by January 15. For more information about deadlines and other application requirements, click here.

Don’t forget that you can track your application process online, to see what our office has already received,
and what information we still need from you or your school.
