Biography:

Brian has been a secondary school physics teacher for more than a decade. He came to Taft from The Governor’s Academy in Massachusetts, where he taught the AP Physics 1 and 2 curricula and introduced a robotics program. Prior to The Governor’s Academy, he was a physics instructor at Severn School in Maryland, where he developed and implemented the “Physics First” science curriculum and AP Physics B. Brian received his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Cambridge University in Natural Sciences, concentrating in physics with theoretical physics. Following that, he received his Master in Science degree with honors from King’s College at the University of London in x-ray science and technology and his Ph.D. from Birbeck College at the University of London in protein crystallography. At Taft, Brian teaches physics and is the assistant coach for boys’ thirds soccer. He and his family reside in the former development house.
