The Rhinos hosted the Choate Boars today for their third match of the season. The Boars proved the stronger team today sweeping the match and not dropping a game in the scoring top seven matches. In the top three positions, Aariya, Carolina and Sadie each had solid second games showing that they could match up to the play of their opponents but each was not able to then maintain this or take that third game to push the match into a fourth game. Eliza King Freedman and Yasmeen Bae faced seasoned opponents who have shifted down on the squash ladder as the Choate team has added players. These ladies were too much for our Rhinos today. Minna Holleck got off to a slow start dropping a quick first game but rebounded for stronger 2nd and 3rd games. Similarly, Tiffany Tam found a new gear in the third game when she took her opponent to overtime. Lulu Bradley had a battle today for the exhibition match winning the first and third games and dropping close second and fourth games. She maintained her composure in the fifth game and was able to gain the advantage at the end and finish out the match at 11-7. The Rhinos will process these first matches over the break and look to come back renewed and ready to work hard again in January. Thanks to everyone who came to support us today.
