A three-point halftime advantage for the home Big Red against the banged up but game visitors from Deerfield first grew to double digits at the eleven minute mark of the second half. There the lead stayed - somewhere between eight and twelve - until the very end of the contest. Flow proved elusive as both teams committed many fouls, and the Rhinos did not take care of the ball as well as they might have. But the home rims were just friendly enough, and stops at the other end just frequent enough, that the Taft lead was not seriously threatened down the stretch. Kayla Robinson led the home squad with a double double of 16 points and thirteen rebounds (plus a dramatic rejection of an attempted breakaway layup). Lauren Pelosi netted 13, Kris Manfreda scored 9, Juliana Yamin 7, and Amara Chidom 4 points to go with nine boards.
