Then, after interning at Middlesex Community College, where she created a new student orientation and again with Upward Bound with both Wesleyan and Capital Community College, she worked for two years as the coordinator of student services at the University of Hartford. While there, she also completed a master’s in counseling, with a specialization in student development in higher education, at Central Connecticut State University. From there, she worked as an admissions counselor and adviser of the Early Admission Program at Holyoke Community College. Then, in 2005, she returned to Wesleyan, this time working as an assistant and associate dean of admission. At Taft, Jessie works in College Counseling and Admissions, helps with Community Service Day and MLK Day.
