Colin graduated from the Hotchkiss School and Brown University, where he was captain of the varsity sailing team. He served ten years as a naval aviator, flying FA-18 Hornets over Bosnia and Iraq, graduating from Top Gun and instructing at the FA-18 Weapons School.  Since coming to Taft in 2003, Colin has taught American history, world history and electives on American foreign policy, modern China, and World War II. He has also been a dormitory head, History Department chair and crew coach. Colin is presently dean of the Uppermid Class and assistant coach of the girls’ JV hockey team. He lives in Washington with his two children and wife, Blaire, who also teaches history at Taft.
