After graduating from Wesleyan with a double-major in English and Russian language and literature, Caitlin began her teaching career at Millbrook School, where, in addition to teaching English full-time, she taught human development, served as the head coach of the varsity girls’ cross country team, coached squash, and worked as a dorm parent and as director of student activities. While at Millbrook she also began master’s work at Middlebury’s Bread Loaf School of English, which she completed over the course of five summers. During the summer of 2006, she worked as a teacher of leadership and ESL at the Asheville School’s Academic Adventures Program. Then, that fall, she began a five-year tenure at Savannah Country Day school as a teacher of English and, for one year, introductory linguistics, the faculty advisor to the Honor Council, chair of the SACS accreditation committee on ethics education, and assistant coach of girls’ and boys’ varsity cross country, varsity track, and varsity girls’ soccer. At Taft, Caitlin teaches English, coaches girls’ cross country and girls’ thirds squash, and lives on HDT 2 with her husband, Ken.
