After Taft, Michael attended the College of Charleston, where he majored in English and minored in American studies and served as the president of the student outdoor club. Upon college graduation, he worked as a ski patroller and ski race organizer at Tahoe Donner Cross Country in Truckee, CA. Remaining in the Lake Tahoe area, he went on to work at Sugar Bowl Academy in Norden, CA, where he worked as the director of admissions, as administrative assistant to the head of school, and as a history teacher and dorm parent. As director of admissions and financial aid, he helped grow this small sports academy in its early years. In relocating to Vermont, he worked in admissions at New England Culinary Institute. At Taft, Mike works in admissions and serves as the school’s associate director of financial aid, coaches football and boys’ thirds lacrosse, and lives on CPT 3 with his wife, Siri.
