A native of Colombia, Luz has lived in the United States for five years. She graduated from UPB with majors in Spanish and literature and was a teacher in Colombia for nearly 20 years. She earned a master’s degree in classic literature and Latin American literature from Universidad de Los Andes. At Taft, she teaches Spanish and helps with girls’ thirds basketball. Luz lives in Watertown.
