Originally from New Jersey, Chris graduated from Colgate University with degrees in mathematics and physics before attending graduate school at RPI in physics. He developed his love of teaching while working as a teacher's assistant at RPI and teaching at Kaplan Test Prep, where he was named Teacher of the Year in 2006. His research at Colgate and RPI focused on superconducting electronics and solid-state lighting.
Before coming to Taft, Chris worked at the Maine School of Science and Mathematics, where he taught honors physics, AP Physics B and C and coached the math team. At Taft, he teaches multiple levels of physics, lives in the upper school boys dorm, coaches intramural soccer and basketball, and helps out with the math team. In the spring, he "coaches" an engineering team that builds robotic cars to compete in the Boston University Engineering Design Contest. Chris is currently taking courses in Wesleyan's Graduate Liberal Studies Program.
