A native of Colombia, Luz graduated from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana with majors in Spanish and literature. She earned a master’s degree in classic literature and Latin American literature from Universidad de Los Andes. She was a teacher in Colombia for nearly 20 years. At Taft, she teaches Spanish and leads intramural tennis. Luz lives in Watertown.
