Taft School Juried Art Competition of 2006

February 17 to March 10, 2006

Presented in memory of Mark W. Potter, artist and teacher at Taft for forty years, the Gallery will host a second juried student competition with other high schools. Our purpose is to provide young artists from all over Connecticut a chance to see each other's work and to present that work to professional artists and teachers other than those in their classrooms and studios. Public and independent schools are invited to enter up to six art works each. A panel of three judges will select the work to be included in the exhibit. Four art works will be awarded prizes in two categories: two-dimensional and three-dimensional design.

This exhibit is supported by the Andrew R. Heminway '47 Endowment Fund.
