Graduation

Congratulations to the parents of the Taft Class of 2008!

We look forward to hosting you and your family on Commencement Weekend.

Friday evening, May 30, at 5:30 p.m., the Arts Department will host a concert of celebration featuring Collegium Musicum and Chamber Ensemble in Bingham Auditorium.

Following the performance, there will be a reception in the Donald F. McCullough Field House. The annual Senior and Parent Dinner Dance will immediately follow. Please let us know the number of guests that will be in your party. We are pleased to accommodate family members other than parents, but there will be a charge of $25 per additional guest, which will be reflected in your final school bill. Please note that there will be photographers on hand at the dinner-dance and again on Saturday.

Commencement will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, in Centennial Courtyard. Announcement cards for you to send to family and friends, if you wish, have been mailed to you.

In the case of inclement weather, ceremonies will be held in the Cruikshank Gymnasium. Fortunately, there is no limit on the number of guests who may be invited to the ceremony, although you are urged to arrive early to secure the best possible seats.

Following Commencement, there will be a luncheon for all guests and graduates in a tent on the soccer field, adjacent to Centennial Courtyard. For your planning purposes, you can generally anticipate that the luncheon will conclude by 2:00 p.m.
