Quick FAQs

Q: What can I connect?
A: With this process, you will be able to connect smartphones, iPads, Galaxy Notes, etc. To register a computer, you must follow the Connecting Computers to Taft's Wireless Network process.

Connecting your mobile device to the wireless network

In order to connect your mobile device to Taft's Wireless network, you must register it with the Network Access Control appliance. Please follow these instructions:

  1. Go to the Wi-Fi settings on your device and connect directly to the wireless network called TaftAir-N.

  2. You will be prompted for the WiFi password, which is Rhino-2014. Enter this password. Once connected you may close your settings app.

  3. Open a web browser and type in a non-https website such as www.yahoo.com. You will redirected to: http://netsentry.taftschool.org/registration

  4. The Client Registration page will open. On this page, you may see some information about a client needing to be loaded onto your computer. You may ignore this. No agents are needed on mobile devices. Enter your network username and password, then click Continue.
  5. After you are authenticated, you will see this next page. Disregard the message about the download. (Nothing will be downloaded onto your device.) Click Continue.
  6. It will take about 45 seconds for registration to finish, and you will see a countdown and progress bar during the process. You will then be fully registered on the TaftAir-N network. You will not have to go through any registration or authentication process again on this device.

If you have any questions during this process, please call the Taft IT department at 860-945-7990.
