Taft took home three awards at the prestigious Seven Angels Theater Halo Awards event Wednesday, May 30. Now in their ninth year, the Halo Awards recognize excellence in high school theater. More than 30 area schools compete for the honors. Taft was nominated in 17 categories. The winners are:
Max Flath as Gaston in Beauty and the Beast: Best Comic Male Performance in a Musical (tie)
Chris Hylwa as Julian in Roomies: Best Standout Performance by an Male Actor in an Ensemble Production
And Roomies, an original play written and directed by Rick Doyle: Fearless Award (Play)- Language and subject
