Golfers Win Western New England Invitational

Congratulations to the Boys' Varsity Golf team on winning the Western New England Prep School Golf Invitational at Bulls Bridge Golf Club yesterday. The team set a new 18-hole low total score of 377 strokes on the par 72 course, besting the 14-school field.

"Going into this event we knew Loomis and Brunswick would be strong opponents," said coach Jack Kenerson '82. "However, this year's golfers are a unique bunch who play well and for each other. Our total score of 377 strokes will most likely stand the test of time."

Setting a great pace for Taft was Senior Beau David, who posted an even par 72. Beau's score was tied with two other golfers, but after matching back 9 scores, Beau's even par 36 bested his two competitors by 1 stroke. Following closely behind Beau, co-captain Hunter Ramee put together his best round of the spring with a two over par 74, which earned him 4th place honors.
