Conservationist Joyce Poole '74 Honored at Taft

Earlier this year, Joyce Poole '74 was named the 2017 recipient of the Horace Dutton Taft Alumni Medal. The Medal is the school's highest alumni honor, and is given each year to a person whose life work typifies the school motto: Not to be ministered unto but to minister. Poole was recognized for her dedication to the environment, her service to the global community, and her passionate voice for justice for the world's elephant population. She received the award on Alumni Weekend, and shared a Morning Meeting talk with the Taft community during her time on campus.
