Thanks for Giving: Annual Fund Year Comes to a Successful Close

Because of you and your generous support, our students engage in a wide range of extraordinary learning opportunities both in and out of the classroom, on and off campus, at home, and across the globe. Thanks to your generosity, they will continue to develop, with the help of dedicated faculty, into tomorrow's thought leaders and achievers.

This year was another successful year for the Annual Fund, with contributions of $4,518,232 from 43% of alumni and 92% of current parents. Our May 1 Day of Giving generated both enthusiasm and solid participation, with the Classes of '11, '04, '99, '84, '75, '67, '57, and '46 achieving the highest level of Annual Fund participation for their respective decades during the one-day campaign. The Class of '99 deserves special mention for having the highest participation during the event, with more than 21% of class members participating in the drive. Parents representing the Class of 2019 topped the donor rolls on the Parents' Fund side.

We owe much of the success of the Annual Fund to the commitment of an incredible team of volunteers, including the Parents' Committee, Class Agents, and students. All are capably led by Taft's talented Alumni and Development team.

"I am truly grateful to all of the donors who have made this year's Annual Fund a success," said Trustee and Annual Fund Chair Dylan Simonds '89. "It takes consistent, deep, and broad support from all corners of our community to build and sustain the Taft we know and love. And while we are fortunate to be able to build upon a strong foundation of past giving, the future wellbeing of Taft has been entrusted to our stewardship."
