Coach Biography: Chris Chung

Chris Chung came to Taft as a math teaching fellow in the fall of 2010 after graduating from Middlebury College with a bachelor's degree in mathematics.  He grew up playing volleyball in New York City and has played in many competitive indoor and outdoor grass tournaments throughout his high school years.  While at Middlebury, Chris was one of the founding members of the Men's Volleyball Club team, where he played primarily as a libero/defensive specialist.  During Chris' sophomore year, the team made its first appearance in the New England Club Volleyball League and finished as a semifinalist in the playoff tournament.  At Taft, Chris is the assistant coach for the varsity volleyball program and he works primarily with the liberos and defensive specialists on the team.  In addition to coaching volleyball at Taft, Chris teaches math and is the assistant coach for the junior varsity softball team.  He lives in HDT 2, where he serves as the dormitory head.
