Coach Biography: Matthew LaBrie

Matthew LaBrie graduated from Plymouth Regional High School in
Plymouth, NH, in 2007 where he lettered in soccer and basketball. He
went on to graduate suma cum laude from the College of William & Mary
in 2011 with concentrations in English and government. While at
William & Mary, he was a the captain of the men's varsity rowing team
and was designeated an academic All-American oarsman by the American
Colegiate Rowing Associataion. He also rowed with the Italian National
and Junior National teams while he studed abroad in Rome, Italy.
During his college summers, Matthew has worked for various political
campaigns and eventually interned in the Office of Governor John Lynch
in Concord, NH, and the Office of U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen in
Washington, DC. During the summers of 2010 and 2011, he interned in
St. Paul’s School’s Advanced Studies Program, where he taught law,
government and composition, and coached rowing. At Taft, Matthew
teaches English, coaches thirds volleyball, boys’ JV basketball and
rowing, and lives on HDT 3.
