Coach Biography: Tom Cesarz

Tom Cesarz joined the Taft Faculty at the beginning of the 2003-4 school year. He serves as Library Director, corridor head of HDT4, assistant football coach, and head coach of the boys’ thirds lacrosse team.  Tom graduated from Williams College in 1972 where he was a member of their football team for four years and their lacrosse team for two. He worked as a librarian and library director in Boston area colleges and universities for many years before coming to Taft. Tom came to Taft having coached both football and lacrosse in Swampscott, Massachusetts. He served as the Head Coach of the Swampscott-Marblehead team in the Massachusetts Bay U-14 Lacrosse league from 1996-2001. He also served as a Pop Warner Football coach in Swampscott, MA from 1994-2000 and a volunteer assistant coach for the Swampscott High School Football team from 1990-1995.   Tom and his wife, Martha, have two children and two grandchildren.
