Coach Biography: Sarah Sanborn

Sarah Sanborn serves as head girls’ varsity lacrosse coach, after previously working with Coach Ellen Hinman.  Sarah graduated from Bryn Mawr School in Baltimore, MD, in 2001 where she earned 12 varsity letters in field hockey, basketball and lacrosse.

From there, she went to Dartmouth, where she majored in English and played four years of varsity lacrosse. At Dartmouth, Sarah captained the 2005 team, was Ivy League champion twice, NCAA Final Eight and Final Four participant once and was the Patty Pierce Award and Radasche Coaches Award recipient.

Sarah has also coached JV and varsity field hockey, JV lacrosse and varsity track at McDonogh School. In the summer months Sarah has coached elite lacrosse camps at Dartmouth and Stanford.

At Taft, Sarah is the associate dean of students, an admissions officer and an English teacher who lives in a lower school boys' dormitory.
