Boys' Junior Varsity Basketball
Long time teacher and coach, John Piacenza, heads the junior varsity basketball program at Taft. Piacenza coached the varsity team for eleven years and led the 1997 team to the New England tournament. Piacenza runs the JV program as a feeder for the varsity team. The team focuses on fundamentals of the game and plays an upbeat style of offense and a hard-nosed brand of defense. Last year this style of play resulted in an outstanding 15-3 record.
