Boys' Varsity Basketball vs Kent School

Score/Result: 70-48 W

Wednesday, January 09, 2013

Joey Flannery scored 23 of his team high 27 points in the second half and the Rhinos got a great team effort on route to a 70-48 victory over rival Kent.  The game was tight five minutes into the second half, but a 17-2 run fueled a dominating final 10 minutes.  Kade Kager and O'Shea Bell keyed the defensive effort holding Kent's star guard Travis Berry to just four points.  Point guard Shawn Strickland scored 10 of his 12 points in the first half and added 7 assists.  Bulolo Jonga, Sam Barrett, and Hayden Pascal came off the bench to play solid minutes for Taft.  Next up for Taft will be Kingswood Oxford at home on Friday at 5:00pm.
