Boys' Varsity Basketball vs Trinity-Pawling School

Score/Result: 74-78 (OT) L

After spotting Trinity Pawling an 18 point first half lead, Taft battled back to force OT, but eventually fell 78-74.  Quinton Dale's two clutch free throws with 8 seconds remaining in regulation evened the score and Kade Kager hit a 3 with 40 seconds remaining in the extra session to again tie the score at 74-74, but neither would be enough for Taft.  In the end, it was a tremendous battle of two tough, athletic teams, and anyone who was present to see the game witnessed what is great about high school sports.  Joey Flannery led Taft with 29 points on 12 of 20 shooting and Dale scored 19 and pulled down 10 rebounds.  The Rhinos will be back in action Wednesday at home against Berkshire.  Tip-off is scheduled for 4pm.
