• Tri-captain Morgan Manz chose a good time to turn in a dominant performance. With the Rhinos down 48-38 at the nine-minute mark, Manz spearheaded a 14-0 run that saw the home team take a lead it would not relinquish. But Manz' double double -- 24 points and eleven rebounds -- weren't the whole story. Chelsea Robinson and Dominique Moise each scored an efficient and crucial 13 points. Lauren Drakeley contributed two timely second half jumpers and pulled in an offensive board with just over a minute to play, Rylie Mainville had a bucket and played smart at both ends, Maggie O'Neil had five steals, and Rio Dennis came off the bench and scrapped her way to three critical boards in the second half. Most important, every player committed to full intensity and effort at the defensive end in order to climb back into the game. It was, in short, very much a team win -- and a much-needed one since five of the Big Red's next six contests are on the road.
