Girls' Varsity Crew vs Berkshire School

Score/Result: 3-0 W

Great conditions for rowing at Camp Sloane in Lakeville, CT.  Four of the five crews competed in brand new line ups that were only practiced for 2 days due to a very windy week at Bantam.  The G1 race was certainly the most exciting preformnace of the day, where Taft lead the entire piece, losing to Choate in the final 3 strokes.  We will see both crews again at Founder's Day in two weeks for some exciting redemption racing!

Comments: G2 - Berkshire's steering cable broke less than 100 meters into the race. There was a restart, but Berkshire was unable to compete. G5 - Choate stopped short of the finish line and drifted over, so the margin would have been about 10 seconds greater had they taken the last couple of strokes. Thanks to Choate, Taft, and Chase for a great day of racing.
