Boys' Cross Country vs Trinity-Pawling School

The Taft XC team ran competitively in their first home meet of the season, but we fell apart as a team over the last mile.  We were tighlty packed at the two mile mark, with Jared Carson, Dan Rubin, Kramer Peterson, John Davidge, Matt Wie and Han Bin Lee all within 10 seconds of each other.  But, we lost our top runner Carson to a hip injury, and we gave up a few places coming home in the final half mile.  Al-Mulla of Canterbury won the race in 16:36, and Choate placed six in the top ten to easily win the team title. In the JV race, Henry Conlon ran strong to lead much of the large jv field (73 runners) until the final 100 meters when he placed second overall.  He was followed by Tyler Dullinger (7th) Teddy Zoellner (11) Andrew Bowers (15) Rory Ronan (17) Randy McHugh (18) and Raymond Kanyo (20) who all finished in the top 20.
