Boys' Cross Country
vs Berkshire School
Score/Result: T19 B42 W
Saturday, October 13, 2012—
The boys' xc team ran their best race of the season on Suffield's beautiful, rolling 3 mile course. With our top five finishing within thirty four seconds of each other, it was clear we ran well as a team. Kramer Peterson and Henry Conlon led the way for us and both got in front of Suffield's third runner with a half mile to go, giving us an outside chance to win the meet, with a string of ten more Taft runners before Suffield's 5th man. But, the Tiger's #3 and 4 runners won the battle coming home to make the final score not that close. Berkshire ran well, with two in the top ten, but their 3 and 4 were also back. Our scoring five were Peterson (17.13), Conlon (17.19), Dullinger (17.23), Lee (17.42) and Rubin (17.51). Dullinger, Ronan (7th for Taft) and Bowers (8th and first JV runner) all ran great, breakthrough races for us. The JV won both meets handily, 15-49 over Suffield and 15-48 over Berkshire. The JV record is 5-2 and the varsity is 2-6.
