Boys' Varsity Lacrosse
vs Salisbury School
Score/Result: 12-5 L
Wednesday, May 08, 2013—
SALISBURY, CT. - The Salisbury School Knights showed why they were in the National Pre-season Top 10 as they took down the Taft Big Red 12-5 on Wednesday afternoon.
Salisbury, like all good teams, capitalized on Taft's mistakes early and often jumping out to a 4-0 lead and a 6-1 lead at the end of the first quarter. Taft certainly had its chances but Salisbury's goalie came up with some big saves in the first few minutes to keep Taft at bay.
In the second quarter, Taft and Salisbury traded punches with Jeff Kratky '13 and Jack Collins '14 each netting a goal for Taft. In the third, however, Salisbury was too strong and their goalie too impenetrable and Salisbury used a 4-0 run enroute to a 12-5 victory.
Taft falls to 9-5 with the loss and returns home on Saturday vs. Loomis.
