Boys' Junior Varsity Lacrosse vs Salisbury School

Score/Result: 6-9 L

Wednesday, May 08, 2013

The Little Big Red had a hard fought 6-9 loss at Salisbury this afternoon.  The Rhinos spotted Salisbury four goals in the opening quarter, mostly on loose man-to-man defense.  The Little Red got it together and actually outscored Salisbury in the final three quarters—again there are four in a game.  Dan Quirk provided the firepower with a four-goal effort.   Zach Lewis and Parker Fiske each added one.   The game ball went to Zach Lewis who repeatedly scooped up loose balls and kept Taft on the offensive.  Eli Cooper filled in for the injured Christian Paton at the face off square and Noah Talhami cleared the ball effectively.  In many ways it was the best team effort of the season and it augurs well (look up augur, Sean) for the remaining games.
