Boys' Thirds Soccer
vs Kent School
Score/Result: 4-0 W
Saturday, October 27, 2012—
Our lads rode the bus up to Kent today to play an always determined Lion side but this day the Rhino came out on top. Both teams played hard for much of the first half but with no result until Griffin Connor assisted James Matons for the only goal of the first half.
Taft came out quickly in the second half as Reid Shafrans deftly assisted Griffin in the six-yard box for Taft's second goal. Doug Goldstone then assisted Eli Cooper for Taft's third goal. James Matons notched his second goal of the match to finish the scoring for Taft.
Our lads played well today on a smaller field for only 70 total minutes as Kent only had eleven players due to a partial evacuation caused by Hurricane Sandy. Congrats to all of our teams for a very successful Kent Day. Our next match is this Wednesday, God willing and the creeks don't rise, against an always tough Choate team. See you there!
