Boys thirds played their final match of the season on foreign turf: the tucked-away, weed-ridden courts at Choate welcomed us while calling on our susperstitions (don't step on the cracks!) and nostalgia (haven't we seen these players before?). We approached this rematch vs. Choate with a new line-up and the addition of three Intro super-stars: Izzy Mittag, Ezra Levy and Nick Burnham. 

While we did not walk away with the win, the Boys + Izzy can be proud of their improvement throughout the season. Justin and Ezra stood out today for their deliberate ball placement and powerful groundstrokes. Izzy left spectators jaw-dropped with her multiple cross-court winners. Garrett often took the offense by charging the net and finishing off his points with volleys. James was a consistent, gentlemanly player (as always), digging in his heels to play out beautifully complex points. Harman took a whack at playing singles instead of his prefered doubles, and did so with a smile on his face and some nice points considering the skill of his opponent. Last but not least, doubles team Nick and Robert literally hovered over the net, salivating at each opportunity to "poach" and punch the balls away from their oppoents. Nice work, team.

This season built a love of the game. Next season, let's try to win a few!
