Girls' Junior Varsity Tennis vs Millbrook School

• Wednesday's match was as close as they come. It was tied 3-3, and it came down to our #3 doubles team, Lanting Lu and Katie B, who won in the third set, 7-6, 1-6, 6-3, winning the overall match for the Rhinos. Power to the Lower Mids!  At #2 doubles, Heather Gordon and Allie Davidge lost 6-7 (8-10), 4-6. At #1 doubles Mishel Figueroa and Issy Tabah, though playing very well and dominating the net, lost in a very close match 6-3, 3-6, 5-7. In singles we did well and won 3 out of 4 matches. At #1 Liv O'Malley, after dropping the first set 2-6, came back to take the second 6-0, and held the momentum to win in the third 6-3. Nice comeback, Liv! Captain Natalie Whiting had an off day and lost 5-7, 1-6 at #2, but Bella Horstmann and Bella Jones both won at 3 and 4 respectively. Both matches were extremely close, Horstmann winning 6-3, 2-6, 6-1, and Jones winning 3-6, 6-4, 6-4. It was good to see our singles play with such confidence and consistency. Catherine Atherton lost an exhibition singles match at #5  4-6, 0-6, and CC Borzilleri was away today.
