Boys' Varsity Track vs Founders League

Score/Result: 4th place

The Taft Boys overcame the rain and a lengthy meet delay to place fourth at the Founders League Track Championship Meet at Trinity Pawling on Saturday. David Berment was the league champion in both the Long Jump and 200M, leading the way for the Taft Boys with his two first place finishes. Shane Hardie (2nd in High Jump, 4th in 110M Hurdles), Troy Moo Penn (2nd in Pole Vault), Adam Parker (4th in Javelin, 5th in Shot Put), Johnny MacMullen (5th in 800M with a season best time) and David Wolff (6th in Shot Put) also scored points for Taft by finishing in the top six. The relay teams both had season best times with the 4X100M team of Adam Parker, Buolo Jonga, David Berment and Chizi Wigwe racing to a fourth place finish, and the 4X400M team of Charlie Vallee, Tommy Grant, Al Nejmeh and Johnny MacMullen placing fifth to round off the scoring on the day for Taft  The Big Red wraps up their season with the Founders League Invitational Meet at Hotchkiss on Wednesday and the New England Prep School Track Championship Meet at Choate on Saturday.
