    Last year, we lost to Chase by 1 point, so we were looking to redeem ourselves. Things did not start well as we quickly found ourselves down 18-0. Nicky Ganek (152) turned the momentum our way with a pin just 9 seconds into the second period. John Davidge returned to the lineup at 160 and pinned in just over a minute. Jeff Kratky (170) faced a strong boy with whom he'd had close matches last year. This time, in the third period Jeff cranked things up a notch to pin. Two forfeits to Carl Sangree (182) and Will Pope (195) gave us a 30-18 lead. Adam Parker (220) needed just 12 seconds to pin and Stephen Mesh (285) took less than a minute to pin. One more win would guarantee our victory, and Locke McGee (106) provided that for us. In a see-saw match, the score was tied 7-7 with just 10 seconds to go. Locke ramped it up and hit a 5-point move to win 12-7 at the buzzer. Chase then pinned out the remaining matches to close the gap to 45-36.
