Tuition and Fees
Boarding Students: $7,500
This amount covers tuition, room and board, airport transfers, and all trips and activities.
Additional costs: Each boarding student is asked to deposit an additional $450 to cover books, supplies, lab fees, and personal spending money. Any funds remaining will be returned to the parents after all summer charges have been reconciled. International students are required to purchase mandatory accident and health insurance at a cost to be determined.
Financial Assistance: Limited need based assistance is available to full-time U.S. boarding students. To apply by the March 1 deadline, view the Financial Aid Application.
Full-Time Day Students: $4,175
The cost covers tuition, lunch, sports, and extracurricular activities on Mondays through Fridays from 8AM until 4:30PM. Weekend trips are not included in this amount. Based on space availability and other factors to consider, participation may be possible, but only with special permission from the Director (additional charges will apply).
In addition to the above charges, we ask each day student to deposit $300 to cover books, lab fees, and study materials. Any remaining funds in this account will be refunded to the parents in September after all of the summer charges have been reconciled.
Scholarships: Three $2,100 scholarships have been designated specifically for full-time day students. To apply by the May 1 deadline, view the Scholarship Application for Day Students.
Part-Time Day Students: $1,200/course (+$100 for textbooks and lab fees).
The cost does not include sports and extra-curricular activities.
A nonrefundable application fee of $75, payable by check or credit card, is due with each application.
Within 2 (two) weeks of official notification of acceptance to the program a nonrefundable deposit of $1,000 is required to hold a student's place in the program. The remainder of the tuition is due by June 1.
As the School must honor financial commitments that are made based on expected enrollment, the tuition of any student who voluntarily withdraws or is dismissed from the program after July 1st will not be refunded.
The Taft Summer School accepts checks, Visa, Mastercard, and wire transfers.
