Collegium Musicum Spring Tour
March 5  to 15, 2008

Once again, Taft's Collegium Musicum traveled together over spring break, this time to perform in Paris, Aix-en-Provence, and Barcelona.

The program included works by Sergei Rachmaninov, Pablo Casals, Camille Saint-Saens and, of course, Paul Halley. Directed by Bruce Fifer, Collegium also performed a number of American spirituals, including Halley's Freedom Trilogy.

Among the "great spaces" in which the group sang were the American Cathedral in Paris, Aix-en-Provence's Cathedrale St Sauveur and Barcelona's Gothic Cathedral.

In previous years, Collegium has traveled to Spain, Italy, and China, as well as San Francisco's Grace Cathedral and New York's Cathedral of St. John the Divine (that event takes place again this year on April 27).
