The Good, The Shad and the Ugly![]() MUSIC FOR A WHILE WITH HUDSON SHAD. FRIDAY, MARCH 2 WALKER HALL, 7 P.M. FREE CONCERT, ALL ARE WELCOME Yee-haw! Here's a rip-roarin' rootin' tootin' salute to music celebrating the great American cowboy/country western tradition. Hudson Shad, a New York-based professional vocal sextet, first presented their cowboy tribute in a Berlin cabaret in November 2002. Originally titled "Cowboys of the Opera," this is an homage to the "guy group" sounds of the Wild West as popularized by the Sons of the Pioneers, Tex Ritter, Gene Autrey, the Statler Brothers, and many more. Hudson Shad will take you from Bonanza to the Baghdad Cafe and back Home on the Range at High Noon. With original choreography by noted Broadway directed Patricia Birch, these western chestnuts performed with a classical music twist will touch, tickle, and transfix everyone from the tenderfoot to the trail boss. So saunter on over to Walker Hall on Friday night and set a spell as Hudson Shad presents THE GOOD, THE SHAD, AND THE UGLY! To read more about HUDSON SHAD, visit http://www.hudsonshad.net/. |
