Focusing on Service over Spring Break

Orphanage Outreach, Dominican Republic

March 8 to 16, 2008

For the 4th consecutive year, Spanish teacher Roberto D'Erizans led a group of students on a service-oriented trip to the Dominican Republic over Spring Break.

This year d'Erizans, Annabel Smith and Marcia DeSanctis had the opportunity to work with a group of doctors and dentists in different communities throughout the region. The group of doctors came through a partnership between Orphanage Outreach and Los Medicos Voladores.

Over March vacation, Taft students also had the opportunity to travel to South Africa. Members of Collegium Musicum toured France and Spain, the Jazz Band performed in Boston and Memphis, and most varsity teams headed to Florida for some spring training.
