Where are you from?
I am from Prospect, Connecticut.
What kinds of things have you been involved in during your time at Taft?
I run cross country and track, play JV ice hockey, am part of Every Mind Matters (mental health awareness club), I’ve been a dorm monitor and school monitor, and I am a news editor of the school newspaper, The Taft Papyrus.
What was your favorite class (or classes) at Taft?
My favorite class was Honors Government and Politics.
What is your favorite spot on campus?
There is a spot up on the hill behind the track where the Girls XC rock is; it is a rock that gets painted by the team each year. The view of campus and the hills of Watertown is really beautiful from here.
What has been your most memorable Taft moment?
My most memorable moment at Taft was getting up on stage with my friend Sydney during the MLK Day Multicultural Arts Celebration and doing an “odd couple” skit. The skits are an MLK Day tradition, where two people who some people might not think would find a connection talk about coming together at Taft.
What is one piece of advice you’d give new or prospective Taft students?
Trust the process; things take time to set into motion.
What does it mean to be a Rhino?
Being a Rhino means being kind and considerate to the people around you. It means being open to endless possibilities and people, because the Taft experience is unlike anything else.
