Meet Paton

Where are you from?

I am from San Francisco, California.

What activities do you participate in at Taft?

At Taft, I am a school monitor, a residential monitor in Mac, a member of the varsity soccer and lacrosse teams, an EcoMon, and an Editor-in-Chief of Global Journal.

What is your favorite class at Taft?

My favorite class at Taft is AP Environmental Science. Environmental science has always been a topic I've been interested in, and we have a great group of people that always make it fun.

What is your favorite spot on campus?

My favorite spot on campus is Prentice. I love sitting with friends for a moment between classes or at breakfast, whether we're doing work or just hanging out.

What has been your most memorable Taft moment?

My most memorable Taft moment was the night game against Loomis last fall, which we tied 2-2. We had tons of fans there and it was a super high energy and hard-fought game.

What does it mean to be a Rhino?

To me, being a Rhino means embracing all of the highs and lows that Taft brings, and learning to love what each moment teaches you. No matter the length of time you spend at Taft, being a Rhino ultimately allows you to become a more compassionate, intelligent, and thoughtful person.
