World Language Course Offerings

From the first day of classes at Mr. Taft’s School in 1890 and for more than 125 years since, foreign language study has been a core component of Taft’s academic curriculum. Like their predecessors, today’s Taft students may study Latin and Greek, and the ancient cultures or their origin. They may also study Chinese, French, and Spanish, with offerings at the AP and Post-AP level, and opportunities for independent study. With more than 60 foreign language courses offered on campus, study abroad programs, and courses in Arabic and Japanese through the Global Online Academy, Taft is preparing students to lead and achieve in an increasingly interconnected world.
