Kyle Conrau-Lewis
Originally from Australia, Kyle graduated with a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Melbourne in Latin and Greek literature and then went on to complete his PhD at Yale University where he was also a postdoctoral fellow in 2020. During that time, he taught at a number of universities and high schools, and also earned a diploma in manuscript studies from the Pontifical Institute of Medieval Studies in Toronto.
Now in his fourth year at Taft, Kyle teaches senior English and Latin, and has been an AP reader for Latin for the last three summers. At Taft, he has also taught an independent tutorial on Sanskrit, a course on linguistics, and advised an independent project on ancient ideas of gender and psychology. He looks forward to coaching GIII hockey and track this year. But most importantly, he always loves to hear what his students are reading and thinking!
