Kira earned a bachelor’s of science in nursing from Boston College and a master’s of science in nursing from Fairfield University. Kira is a Board certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC). Kira joins Taft after spending fourteen years at the University of Bridgeport where she most recently served as the director of student health services. Kira has been a practicing nurse (RN and FNP-BC) for over 25 years. After working as a labor and delivery nurse at St Raphael’s Hospital in New Haven, Kira began her school-based career in K-8 school health centers in Stratford and Bridgeport before switching to a university student care setting. Kira was also a clinical instructor for the Yale School of Nursing for five years and most recently affiliated with Silver Hill Hospital as an advanced practice nurse on the substance abuse team. Kira lives in Easton, Connecticut, with her husband and their three teenage children.
