Biography:

A graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy and Columbia University, Honor is the 2023 Carpenter Fellow in the History and Global Studies and Service department. Honor graduated from Columbia University in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and Latin American and Caribbean studies, specializing in language migration in the Caribbean. While at Columbia, she was a four-year member of the Columbia/Barnard women’s rowing team and led the team as captain during her senior year. After graduating college, Honor spent a year working at The Country School in Madison, Connecticut, initially acting as a teaching fellow before taking over as the 5th-8th grade Spanish teacher. At Taft, Honor teaches human geography, politics of race, gender, and sexuality, and women in U.S. history. She also coaches girls' JV soccer and rowing, serves as faculty advisor to the LGBTQ+ affinity group, and lives in Centennial dormitory.
