Biography:

Mostafa earned a bachelor's degree in pure mathematics from Tehran Polytechnic University in Tehran, Iran, and also completed his master's studies in pure mathematics at the same institution. Following his master's program, he dedicated two years to research as a scholar at the Institute for Research in Fundamental Science (IPM). Subsequently, he pursued his academic journey, culminating in a Ph.D. in pure mathematics from Wesleyan University. His primary research area centers around mathematical logic, particularly focusing on model theory and its applications in combinatorics and algebra. Besides research, he has taught various mathematics courses at Wesleyan University (for more information, see his personal webpage). At Taft, Mostafa instructs a range of math courses such as BC-Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, and Modern Algebra (Abstract Algebra). Additionally, he coaches the school's math team. Mostafa lives on campus with his young son.
