Biography:

Mostafa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pure Mathematics from Tehran Polytechnic University in Tehran, Iran, where he also completed his Master’s studies in the same field. After his Master’s program, he spent two years conducting research as a scholar at the Institute for Research in Fundamental Sciences (IPM). He later earned his Ph.D. in Pure Mathematics from Wesleyan University, where he is currently a Visiting Scholar.

Mostafa’s primary research interests lie in mathematical logic, with a particular focus on model theory and its applications in combinatorics and algebra. At Taft, Mostafa teaches a range of advanced mathematics courses, including Honors AB and BC Calculus, Honors Linear Algebra, Honors Differential Equations, Honors Modern Algebra (Abstract Algebra), Honors Complex Analysis, Honors Point-Set Topology, and Honors Number Theory. He also coaches the school’s math team. Mostafa lives on campus with his young son.
