Dr. Hannah Higgin joins the History and Global Studies team at Taft with over a decade of experience teaching history at boarding schools. At previous schools, she has served as department chair and as Assistant Director of Teaching and Learning, and she has been deeply involved in community and student initiatives relating to current events, demonstrations of learning, inclusivity, and sustainable reuse. She also taught undergraduates at Quinnipiac and Cambridge, and is a published historian. A graduate of the University of Cambridge (PhD and MPhil in History) and the University of St Andrews (MA in History and International Relations), and Choate Rosemary Hall, she currently resides in Cheshire with her husband, Joel, a veterinarian, and their elementary-aged children, Max and Lucy, and their standard poodle, Moana.
