Catherine received a master’s degree in higher education from Boston University and a Master of Business Administration with a focus on financing higher education from Hawaii Pacific University. Before coming to Taft, she worked in higher education for 12 years at Bates College, Boston University, and Hawaii Pacific University. She serves as the Connecticut representative to the New England Regional College Board. She has also worked with several state organizations, including the Pacific Association of Financial Aid Administrators, Hawaii Association of College Admission Counselors, and Massachusetts Association of Financial Aid Administrators, which helps provide access to higher education for first-generation and low-income students. Her husband, Bob Ganung, is the chaplain at Taft. They live on campus and serve as dormitory associates. Catherine and Bob have two grown children, Ted and Elisabeth.
